Netscape launches Digg Clone Beta

Netscape has launched a beta home page that turns the portal site into a social network focused on news. I see it as just a clone of Digg with ads everywhere. Ads in the middle of the comments is just a plain annoying! Digg is a technology news website that combines social bookmarking, blogging, RSS, and non-hierarchical editorial control. With digg, users submit stories for review, but rather than allow an editor to decide which stories go on the homepage, the users do. Digg has been one of my favourite sites and visit many times a day. You can compare how clean and simple is digg.com and Netscape Beta by yourself.
